Sometimes as creatives we just have to get out and do a shoot for ourselves to get back into the groove and that’s what this shoot was all about. Alyssa and I got together in the middle of my busy season to do a shoot “just because” and the result is some of my favorite photos of all time! It was windy, on the verge of raining, and very humid the entire time but you would never know looking at these shots.

Though we had very little sunlight to work with until the end of the evening, the clouds lent well to the first part of our session that we shot in a grassy field. Throughout the night Alyssa had a great time laughing at my expense as I tried to wrangle my reflector in the 30 mph wind … go ahead, picture it and have a good laugh too! We ended the night shooting near the river with the perfect golden light and lots of laughs. 🙂
