I'm Layne, a brunch-obsessed high school senior portrait photographer, world traveler, and local business lover. I believe in big dreams, digging the cookie dough out of the ice cream (to eat it by itself!), drinking out of pretty coffee mugs, and documenting life as it happens.

Though my business focuses primarily on senior girls, you might occasionally see me snuggling one of my friends' newborn babies, capturing a beautiful wedding day, or embracing the chaos during a family session.

Grab your favorite snack, snuggle up in a cozy spot, and take a peek at my adventures!

thank you so much for stopping by!

Semester at Sea | Day Three: Westminster + Buckingham Palace + Trafalgar Square + National Gallery + London Eye + Piccadilly Circus

Yesterday afternoon I made a comment about how jetlag hadn’t even been that bad and I wasn’t that tired. Well, I jinxed us. Around 11:30 this morning we woke up after going to bed just shy of 1 AM. Semester at Sea

I know that for the #SASTRAVELOATH, I vowed to be a traveler and NOT a tourist, but since we’re only in London for a few days and I’ve never been we are doing some pretty “touristy” things while we’re here. We had a full day of adventures and I have a feeling the next two are going to fly by as well!

Semester at Sea | Day One: Minneapolis, Minnesota to Reykjavik, Iceland to London, England

We made it to London! It’s been a long and exciting couple of days as Nathan and I made our way across the ocean. We left my house at 5:30 AM Tuesday in route to Minneapolis. The drive went quickly, we had little trouble in traffic, and security didn’t take long at the airport!

Semester at Sea

In two sleeps I will leave for the greatest adventure any college student can ask for.

I, Layne, am embarking on a journey around the world. I want to explore the globe and put meaning to names on a map. Wake up in a different country every week. And explore with my own two feet. Get lost in foreign cultures and find myself. Make the world my classroom and its people my teachers. I want to sail into new waters and make waves while doing it. Lose sight of the shore. Be a traveler not a tourist.
