Derek + Jessica | Teddy Roosevelt National Park Engagement Session

October 15, 2018

It’s still engagement session season! The weather has derailed so many photoshoots for me recently and the early snow made me worried that we wouldn’t have any good weather left to reschedule, but, luckily, the white stuff didn’t last long and even though it’s still chilly and the leaves are falling fast, I’ve been able to get most of my shoots back on!

Derek & Jessica’s engagement session was one we rescheduled three or four times due to weather. Every time we’d choose a date thinking the weather would be nice, it would rain or snow. This weekend, we finally chose a day where the weather sort of cooperated for us! It was a little windy in the middle of the beautiful North Dakota Badlands at Teddy Roosevelt National Park, but it was worth the shivering. 😉 Plus, Jess’s mom made homemade apple cider for us, so we were nice and warm on the way home!

Jessica is my boyfriend’s best friend’s twin sister (a little confusing, I know!). I met them for the first time this summer, and I think they’re the absolute SWEETEST people in the whole world. And aren’t they perfect together?!

Enjoy Derek and Jessica’s beautiful fall engagement session in the Badlands. I can’t wait for their wedding at South 40 Events this spring!
